Reproductive Medicine

There's just no reason to sit around and wait to get pregnant.

Unlike many fertility specialists, Dr Knight is also a reproductive endocrinologist (RE), a type of medical doctor who specialises in treating people with fertility problems and other reproductive disorders. Couples with fertility problems who choose to see a reproductive endocrinologist when deciding upon fertility treatments are giving themselves the best chance of getting pregnant.

It is an REs job to identify factors involved in fertility issues and to provide advice and information regarding appropriate treatment methods.

REs are trained to manage a number of different problems related to the reproductive system including:

  • Infertility
  • Hormonal disorders such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Menstrual problems
  • Pregnancy loss
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Menopause

Dr Knight undertakes the following treatments for fertility problems:

  • Lifestyle analysis with factual treatment advice and programs
  • The use of fertility drugs, including clomiphene citrate, letrozole and FSH
  • Infertility surgery
  • Intrauterine insemination
  • In-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) techniques
  • Testicular biopsy for sperm retrieval (TESE, PESE)
